About SJUSA

The Sunni Jamiatul Ulama of South Africa — an internationally recognised Ulama body serving the Muslim community at no cost.

The Sunni Jamiatul Ulama of South Africa was established in 1978 by a modest number of Ulama with the primary objective of convening a Theological body that would address the various social, welfare, educational and spiritual needs of the community.

Secondarily, to preserve and promote the pristine teachings of the Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaah and the spiritually uplifting practices associated with the Sunni fraternity.

Founded by passion, sincerity and dedication, it is only with the Grace of Allah that the SJUSA has prevailed as an internationally recognised Ulama body of great substance and repute.

Our services have been offered at no cost (gratis) to the community from establishment to the present time.
